Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data Pet's Floor collects when you use our website and services, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who we are
Pet’s Floor (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a pet care business based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, offering dog training, walking, grooming, boarding and pet sitting, and running a pet adoption listing service through this website.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. You are the Data Principal.
You can reach us at care@petsfloor.com or +91 9784249525. Our address is 10 Inspiro Building, New Bhopalpura, Udaipur.
2. What we collect, and why
We ask for the least we can and still do the job. We do not buy personal data from third parties, and we do not build advertising profiles.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number, city | Contact form, service enquiry, account sign-up | To reply to you and to arrange the service you asked about |
| Your message and the service you selected | Contact and enquiry forms | To understand and answer the request |
| Email address and password | Account registration | To create and secure your account. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us |
| Pet details — name, breed, age, temperament, sterilisation status, medical notes and photographs | When you submit a pet for adoption | To review the listing and, once approved, to show it to people looking to adopt |
| Your reason for rehoming, and your contact details | Adoption listing submission | To assess the listing responsibly and to put a serious adopter in touch with you |
| A one-way hash of your IP address | Form submissions | To rate-limit abuse and spam. It is a hash, not a stored IP address, and we cannot reverse it |
3. Adoption listings are published
This is the one place where information you give us becomes visible to other people, so it deserves its own section.
When you submit a pet for adoption, the listing is reviewed by us before it appears — nothing is published automatically. Once approved, the pet’s details and photographs are public on the adoption pages and are visible to anyone, including search engines.
Your own contact details are not published. Visitors see a masked phone number, and your real contact details are shared only when you agree to share them with a specific interested adopter. You can ask us to take a listing down at any time.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or session-recording tools on this site.
The only two things we store in your browser are:
- Authentication cookies, set only if you create an account and sign in. They keep you signed in between pages and are strictly necessary for the account area to function. Signing out clears them.
- A single session flag that remembers you have already seen the site’s opening animation, so it does not replay on every page. It lives in your browser’s session storage, never reaches our servers, and disappears when you close the tab.
5. Who else processes your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do rely on a small number of service providers to run the site, and they process data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — database, authentication and image storage. This is where account, enquiry and adoption listing data is held.
- Sanity — the content system behind our blog. It stores our articles, not your personal data.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
We will also disclose personal data where we are legally required to — for example in response to a lawful order from a court or authority.
6. Where your data is stored
Our database and file storage are currently hosted in a data centre outside India. This means your personal data is transferred to and stored on servers in another country, under contractual terms that require our providers to protect it and to process it only on our instructions.
By using this website and submitting your details, you consent to that transfer. If you would rather your data were not transferred outside India, please contact us by phone or email instead of using the forms on this site.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and contact messages — up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so we have the history of your pet’s care.
- Account data — for as long as your account is open, and deleted when you close it.
- Adoption listings — kept while active and for a reasonable period after a pet is rehomed, so we can follow up on the animal’s welfare. Removed sooner on request.
- Records we are required to keep — for the period the law requires, even if you ask us to delete other data.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- Correct or complete data that is inaccurate or out of date, and update it;
- Erase your personal data where we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected for, and where no law requires us to keep it;
- Withdraw consent you have previously given, at any time. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already carried out;
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated;
- Complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
To exercise any of these, email care@petsfloor.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, and we may need to verify your identity first so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
9. Keeping your data safe
Access to personal data is restricted to the people who need it to do their job, and administrative actions on our systems are logged. Data is encrypted in transit, and passwords are stored only as hashes.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Grievance redressal
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, write to our Grievance Officer at care@petsfloor.com with “Privacy grievance” in the subject line, or by post to 10 Inspiro Building, New Bhopalpura, Udaipur. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within 72 hours and resolve it as quickly as we reasonably can.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change or the law does. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear rather than quietly amending the page.
